However, because we were enchanted by the views, we moved forward with the hope that we could update the interior to create a comfortable home in which to retire. To our great fortune, a friend, whose stunning Tucson home had been designed by Ron Robinette, suggested that we ask Ron to evaluate our space and recommend how it could be improved. We started with a difficult lot on a steep hill, then asked Ron to design around a large rock formation and leave untouched all the saguaros. Ron created a beautiful contemporary home that blends the indoors and outdoors and highlighted the features of the location.
The design process was fun, creative and collaborative. Ron sketched changes in real time during design meetings, bringing concepts to life in front of our eyes. He incorporated everything in our “must have” list, most in our “would be nice” list, and several cool ideas we’d never have thought of.
Ron’s oversight of the construction process was key in having the project completed to spec and to his personal high quality standards.”

We hired Ron to be the architect for our custom home in Tucson around 2005. He was responsive, professional and creative-with a keen focus on the needs of his clients. As an example, he literally tore up his initial design concept when he learned of my wife’s vision for the home. Based on this, he redid the plans, based on the combination of his/my wife’s ideas. We love the end result.
Later, Ron designed an addition to our family room, successfully delivering a seamless look/feel that was consistent with the original, as if the room had been there from the beginning. Beyond this, Ron has designed at least a dozen homes in our community, and they range from our more traditional Tuscan style to very contemporary, demonstrating his range and flexibility.
